About Guarani

An indigenous language that outnumbers its colonial rival at home. Co-official with Spanish in Paraguay and spoken by most of the country. The only native American language with mass national use. Jesuit missions printed in it from the 1600s. Its nasal vowels thread through Paraguayan Spanish.
